The check-in process could use clearer instructions!!! The odd padlock for the door felt outdated, and the steep narrow stairs are quite a challenge!!! It's also not ideal for larger luggage!!! Please improve Wi-Fi access on the top floor!!!

Favourable and stunning position, we greatly enjoyed staying here.

We booked nicely decorated and impressive room with a shower and a very large bathroom, for instance.

the location is lovely, around 10-15 minutes walk from a large chateau.

It was all superb.

The cozy ambiance was made more enjoyable by the wonderful breakfast with fresh local meats, cheeses, and delicious homemade jams.

Stairs can be quite challenging.

The whole experience was excellent, no complains at all, 100% recommend. It was a beautifully decorated and quaint hotel in a nice area, near to a grocery store, the river and the castle Amboise, and up to date modern conveniences. All the dishes were delicious, nevertheless you can visit nearby Hippeau Brasserie.

This was just a top selection for a quick break in Amboise with really good value. Breakfast included fresh local meats and cheeses with homemade jams, a nice touch. Make sure to check in early to avoid any issues with access codes.

La Capitainerie offered a charming stay with beautifully decorated rooms and a spacious kitchen and dining area. I especially enjoyed the friendly host who managed to communicate well with me through gestures. The views of the river provided such a serene backdrop.

The steep spiral staircase could be challenging for those unprepared, and WiFi access was unreliable on the top floor. Breakfast featured good homemade marmalade that complemented the fresh pastries beautifully.

The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Having the fine view of the river was a good bonus. Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations.

Comfortable room, enjoyable breakfast, with a fantastic location right near key attractions and access to off-site parking making it easy to explore the area.

The Superior Double Room was really charming! It had a lovely view of the chateau, and the decor was beautiful. The shower worked great, and I appreciated the spaciousness of the room. On the downside, the staircase to the top floor was pretty steep, so keep that in mind. WiFi was a bit spotty in the top rooms. Still, the overall vibe was cozy and nice!
